*** THE BEST OF MY YEAR ***

2015 has been such a learning experience for ME! I went from working full-time, making decent pay to unemployed after being with my previous employer after 8 years.

TO struggling to pay bills and trying to keep up! TO wanting to give up and NOT be a productive or successful adult. But, once I got out of that rut which I came to realize that I couldn’t stay there for long because I remembered that God made me for this particular situation. So, that I could be a Blessing for and to someone else with my STORY.

So, I did what I was taught… I went to God in prayer to move any negative feelings from my heart about my sudden end of employment. I started focusing on my nonprofit, Beyond the Curves and MYSELF! Which is when I started on my #GetFit Weight Loss Life Journey, in order for me to become a BETTER ME! Started working part-time from home. Some may say, well that happened in 2014 but it still affected my life in 2015 because I had to play catch up and balance myself.

In spite of my many challenges, I was still able to travel, celebrate my BIRTHDAY the way that I wanted to and made Christmas OK for my Mom they way I wanted to.

And, I couldn’t have done this ALONE! I had amazing SUPPORT and HELP! I had amazing support from many that have been in my life for years and some, that I had just met.

I just wanted to share my reflection of 2015 with my supporters and as we close out 2015, we should reflect and think about how WE CAN BECOME BETTER & GREATER! Don’t continue to say that you want to change or you want something new/different, but are not willing to put in some work! It takes a lot of work, dedication and determination to become a better you!

I pray that we all have a EPIC YEAR IN 2016, come back and check out all of the great things that I am going to be sharing with you all on 2016.

Remember, that you are More Than Your CURVES! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU and a kick ass year to come!

Enjoy the abundant life you so much deserve.

Day 7 of 7 Days to Having A Winning Mindset

unnamed (4)

Day 7

“Willingness” Trumps Ability

Too often, we establish a business model that worked at one time, then insist on it remaining the same. “My business worked well for 10 years. Entrepreneurs have to be stubborn in some ways in order to have the grit to keep pushing through the tough times. However, it’s also important to be big enough to know when it’s time to be flexible and adapt to a different environment.

CHANGE. The good ole word. You have to be willing to change.

Change = Growth = Leadership

What does it take for a leader to recognize they have to change? The answer is COURAGE. It is the ability to stare yourself in the eye and admit that you must make changes within yourself, if you are to inspire your people.

Think of it this way: The one person who you have the most control over is the one person you must change, and by changing that one person and letting it be seen will begin to change an entire organization and culture.

As simple as it sounds, it isn’t, because LEADING OURSELVES is the toughest leadership challenge there is.

If you conquer that challenge, you will reap the rewards and the return.

1. Have you learned how to influence yourself?

2. Have you learned self-control, self-empowerment, and self-determination during this 7 day challenge?

3. Is there anything that can stop you from looking in mirror and changing YOURSELF?

4. On a scale from 1 – 10, how much do you feel you have the winning mindset now?

5. Have you discovered things about yourself?

6. Have you discovered things about the people, environments, and habits in your life?

7. Would you recommend other people take this e-course?

Well come over to these Instagram pages and let us know!
@wewinmovement
@lifecoachcena
@nyalaphillipsIt has been a honor to serve you in this e-course, and we hope you had as many “a-ha” moments as we did in the making of it!

Here’s to the best you possible!

Enjoy the abundant life you so much deserve.

Day 6 of 7 Days to Having a Winning Mindset

unnamed (3)
I could have given up a year ago when I was laid off from my job, but instead I decided to push forward. And, DO THIS FOR MYSELF!

Day 6

“Perseverance” Just Keep Going

“Perseverance is a great element of success. If you only knock long enough and loud enough at the gate, you are sure to wake up somebody.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
There are many qualities you must possess to be a successful entrepreneur, perseverance is one of them. Building a business from the ground up isn’t as simple as you might think, it takes perseverance. Sure you can get by in the beginning operating on sheer excitement and adrenaline. But, there comes a point in your business where you are going to have to draw on that burning desire deep inside of you. You’ll have to determine for yourself if the reward is worth the journey. Your perseverance will be tested to the max.
When faced with an uncertain future, many people choose to do nothing. They will do almost anything other than take positive steps to move their lives forward.
The simple truth is that every monumental endeavor can only be achieved in increments. In business, perseverance means leaning forward, walking one foot after the other into the chill entrepreneurial wind until you’ve reached your milestones and eventually achieved your goal. If you promise yourself to do at least one thing every day to further your plans, at the end of a year you will have made almost 400 positive steps to achieving your goals.

Here’s my question to you. Do you have the perseverance you need to have a Winning Mindset?

HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT:
Write out where you see yourself in the next 360 days. Be detailed, be specific, and be real about the actions you are taking every day to live this life. Create a story for your life. Go! This could be the beginning of a book.

Day 4 of 7 Days to a Winning Mindset with We Win Movement

unnamed (1)

Day 4

“Doubt” Erase It

This is another level of your fear of the unknown coming to the surface of reality. You only doubt what you cannot see right at this moment. But remember, what you consistently think about, you bring about. And there is no way to bring a rich, fulfilling life with thoughts of doubt constantly being a part of your energy.

Doubt stands for: Debating On Understanding Bewildering Thoughts

Source energy, the universe, God, (whichever you prefer) speaks to us through pure ideas. Everything you hope for and ask for, is answered through a per chance event and/or an idea.

You wouldn’t be taking this course to have a winning mindset if you weren’t struggling with BELIEVING in your ideas.

Don’t debate and doubt before you believe. Understand that you will come during the journey and you will never have the blueprint from start to finish.

You can’t call yourself a Winner if you are doubting every turn you make.
I want to tell you a story.

When We Win Movement started which was officially in January of 2015 I had so many doubts. I was afraid that because I was just starting to see success people wouldn’t receive me well. So what did I do? I cancelled our first event. And for 2 months I spent most of my time beating myself up and feeling like I failed. So One day a lady reached out to me on Instagram and she said that she loved the posts, she loved what I was doing and wanted to start a We Win Chapter in Texas. What???? Well that’s all I needed to get rid of the doubt because people were watching me. So I went at it again and relaunched in April and look where we are now.

Doubt can cause failure before you even get started. Here’s a tip: Every time you feel the doubt coming. Think about what you would like to see change in your life, get disgusted with your life so much that you can’t do anything but WIN.

Day 5 of 7 to Having a Winning Mindset with We Win Movement

unnamed (2)

Day 5

“Ambition” Do You Have It

How hard are you willing to work for this? How much are willing to LOSE to gain it all? What are you willing to let go of to make space in your life for those dreams to become reality? Ambition is all about your self-control, and how much of it you have to CHANGE whatever you must change about yourself to be whoever you want to be. Do you have that determination?

Success in business takes determination. You have to motivated and willing to work hard in order to grow. Ambition happens to be one of the main factors in how quickly and large your business grows. It takes ambition to even start a business. As a coach working with entrepreneurs I see many businesses go through the growing phases. Success doesn’t happen overnight. You will have growing pains. You will have times that you will want to give up, but if you can get to the ambition that made you start in the first place you will be so much stronger to tough it out.

Here are some ways that you can Re-Kindle your ambition:

1. Think of why you went into business. Remembering that gives you incentive.

2. Revisit your goals. If you are not achieving them, figure out why. Did you set them too high? Do you need to be doing something differently? Re-access.

3. Make a list of things you’ve achieved. It will remind you that you may not be where you want to be but you are on the right track.

4. Get a coach or mentor to be your cheerleader.

5. Network with other business owners. Masterminds are not overrated.

When things get in the way of you reaching your goal that is when you need your ambition the most. If you want it bad enough you can get through anything. If one way doesn’t work. Try another.

I thank We Win Movement for these past 7 days and I will continue to live by this and also share it with others!

Day 3 of 7 Days to a Winning Mindset

With trying to become a better ME! I decided to sign up for the WeWin Movement 7 Days to Have a Winning Mindset.
I think this is one of the best things I’ve set aside time for ME for! It’s not too late to catch up, sign up and join myself and the other ladies.

“Stress”
A Viral Infection

Stress is a disease waiting to overtake your entire mind, body, and spirit. Stress comes from being given too much responsibility and not enough tranquility in one day. Most of us stack our stress as high as the Empire State Building, but refuse to look for ways to CALM DOWN after taking on so many loads at once. Please know that physical things, (more money, less work, more clients, more customers, etc) WILL NOT make you less stressful. Only you can make YOU less stressful. The need to connect to a charger is just as important for your mind as it is for your cellphone everyday. Stop trying to run on an empty tank. You need empowerment, you need enlightenment. You need encouragement, and you need a daily way to just BREATHE and know that everything really is okay. There are over 10 exercises to relieve stress in my Tools For Fuel eBook – you are welcome to read it and find what works best for you!

Signed Cena Martin

So, now that Cena explained what stress can do to your mind and body, you’re probably asking yourself “How do I handle stress in my business?” Here it is:

1. Never, ever work for free.
You’re worth more than that, and it’s just not practical. Nothing is more stressful than putting in all that work and have zero income. Even if it’s a small amount, knowing you’re building a business that’s actually paying you to be there will give you peace of mind.

2. Give yourself a break.
All the little tasks and decisions we have to make every day gradually deplete our psychological resources. So every day, no matter how busy you are, leave the office for at least a 30-minute break. It can be to grab a coffee, eat lunch or just take a walk around the block. It’s a proven way to sustain concentration and energy levels throughout the day.

3. Go on vacations.
If you can’t leave the office for at least a week stretch without the place falling apart, you’ll never scale. It all comes back to finding great people so when you need to, you can shut down. As your company grows, hire people that you trust to keep day-to-day operations going as you take the time to reboot.

4. Get about eight hours of sleep every night.
Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight and mind, among other things. Ideally, you want to aim for about seven to nine hours. Less than that has shown to have deleterious effects on basic cognitive functions like memory and attention span. Getting enough sleep also helps you “practice” skills learned while you were awake (a process called consolidation).

5. Delegate, delegate, delegate.
Entrepreneurs tend to think they can do everything and one of the biggest challenges is learning to let go. By getting out of the way, you can free yourself from managing every day-to-day task so you can stay focused on the big picture, not every minute detail. A key part of this is ensuring that communication is constantly flowing between you and your team.

Keep yourself in check. These practices takes you one step further to WINNING!
